... Still Waiting for a Warm Weekend.....

Jim was in California and I stayed back at home in Provo... still recooperating.  It's been a long and hard recovery.  I've gone from 94% bendability in my knee, then down to 86%, and then back up to 97%... that's when the doctor told me that if I didn't get it  up to 105% that I would have to have an additional surgery... Well, that two weeks was pretty intense, but I got it up to 109%.  So, now, it's just a matter of healing.  Jim got sent to California because he's a pretty intense babysitter, to the point that I called him my warden... So, when I picked him up at the airport, this was the sign that was on the car.  I thought it was great.... I'm not so sure Jim thought so...

Our weather at the cabin goes from clear too snowy, to REALLY snowy... Jim was wanting to take a drive down and check things out.... BUT....

Yep, another snowstorm... and.... then this....

...and now, this...  Make up your mind, southern Utah... this snow stuff is getting old...

So, the bottom line is, we don't know when we are going to get down to the cabin... maybe sometime within the next month or so, but who knows...

Here's two of my grandkids - Ben and Brea... Brea won most valuable player in a tournament 4 years ago, and this year, Ben won most valuable player in the tournament.  Crazy proud of these two...

The company I work for gave me four tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play against the Utah Hockey Club at the beginning of the month...  We had an absolute blast!  And, the team in Utah doesn't have a name yet..  we're still waiting... But, Toronto won with overtime, and then a shoot out!  I was stoked. We had such an amazing time. When I was visiting with my knee surgeon this past week, he mentioned that it was fantastic that I made it to the game... because my attitude has completely changed.  The people at the Delta Center treated Jim and me like royalty...  got me to and from my seat, checked on me throughout the game, brought me water, got me back into the car, and even gave me a game puck.  It was amazing..

And, of course, we Jim and I had to wear our team jerseys...  I even wore my  Toronto Maple Leaf crocs...  Jim wouldn't be caught dead in crocs... let alone have Toronto Maple Leaf crocs... But, I definitely would!

And, my son Brad and his hockey team, won the Novice Hockey Championship.  This team is all first year players, and I am so proud.  I'm glad he's taking an interest...

My Brad is #79...

And, this is the 2nd team Brad plays on.  He's having a blast.

And, this picture was taken 2 days ago...  We're not quite ready for visits to the cabin... we get a couple of sunny days, and then it's back to snow...  sigh... I've checked back on the blog and it seems that we can get back to the cabin at the beginning of May...  Here's hoping.

And, our doorbell camera was activated at 2:30 in the morning....  We are always nervous when something sets off the camera.... could be a cougar, could be a bear, could be a person... But, at 2:30 in the morning... it's a little scary... Jim checks the playback and it was a little spider crawling across the lens...  Looks so big on the camera...

With that, the adventure continues....

Love, Jim and Cheri
